Cherry blossoms painting (Saturday class)
On Saturdays, we have a program at High Five Kids from 9am to 2pm. It is a mixed class of preschoolers and elementary students. Yuki is taking care of the preschoolers, while I handle the elementary students.
Today, the kids became great painters! They enjoyed painting cherry blossoms using paintbrushes and plastic soda bottles. The kids wanted to have more fun so they used their finger to make it more artsy looking. The aftermath was messy, but the kids surely had fun!
After the painting, we went to the tree park 宝塚中山五月台②丁目 to spend the kids’ energies. They did swing and bravely climbed the artificial tree. Today was really fun!
Next saturday (April 19th) we will be doing easter! Stay tuned for my next blog. 〓

Bread Day Picnic
April 11, 2014Wednesdays at High Five Kids is our bread day, a selection of bread is ordered and all of the children share the same lunch. This last Wednesday we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and had a picnic in the park. We went to the tree park, 宝塚中山五月台②丁目, all of the children like bread day and to have it outside is a bonus. It was nice to enjoy the cherry blossoms once more this time with the smaller children. We have begun our preparations for Mother’s Day, but I will not be posting any photos of our gift until afterwards, don’t want to spoil the surprise.

Spring Bingo.
April 7th, 2014,
Today we played a game of Spring Bingo, in the ‘Big Park’, 宝塚中山五月台①公園. Both the Panda/Penguin class and the Dolphin class have been preparing for this game for the last week. We have been previewing the spring words used in the game including, cherry blossoms, worm, dandelion, and butterfly, we also learned some adjectives such as, gooey, prickly, soft and hard. The classes were divided into two teams one lead by Mari and the other lead by myself. Each team had to find as many of the things listed on the bingo sheet as possible. Mari’s team won because they found a snail shell which we failed to do. All of the children had fun playing the game therefore we were all winners. Bingo. This game was so much fun we hope to have another bingo game in summer and search for other items.
